Cape Winelands Tour |
- The Winelands is South Africa’s oldest and most beautiful wine producing area and offers a chance to sample several hundred different wines in a historical and superbly scenic setting.
- What makes this tour special is that we visit an organic wine- farm which usually produces smaller yields of higher quality wines. This farm is also one of the few farms in the area which has taken steps redress the semi feudal social structure of the estate. We also pop in at a cheetah outreach programme and raptor sanctuary.
- Visit SA's second oldest, and historic, university town of Stellenbosch with its centuries old, oak lined avenues and classic Cape Dutch architecture.
- Treat yourself to lunch at SA’s culinary capital, Franschoek. Art galleries, restaurants and chocolatiers line the quaint village streets, while the most interesting buildings are to be found on the original Huguenot farms and wine estates.
- The tour ends with a leisurely drive via a series of fertile valleys back to Cape Town.
