We travel north through the tall sugar cane plantations and rolling green hills en route to Zululand where intense battles between the Voortrekkers and the Zulu’s took place. The most famous of these battles being the Battle of Blood River, where so many Zulus were shot trying to flee across the Ncome River, hence its name. Once in Zululand you will see the historical sites of Isandlwana, Fugitives Drift and Rorke's Drift, where you will learn about the dreadful battles that were fought in these areas
